Basset - Lowke Table
des. Charles Rennie Mackintosh, 1918

THE PROJECT
The table, along with the straw chairs, was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh for the dining room of W.S. Basset-Lowke in Northampton, from which it takes its name.
By 1890, Mackintosh and the "The Four" group had developed a veritable world of aesthetic geometry that would go far beyond the Jungen stil: slender, severe lines with the use of axes, which develop into straight lines and rectangles, inspired by geometric ideas from the Japanese
style.

OFFER DESCRIPTION
The Basset-Lowke table designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh is an oval table with a solid ash frame and a veneered top, reclining on two sides.
The table is available in an open-pore black finish, but can also be ordered in white, walnut, or cherry: +10%.
