THE PROJECT
The Cesca chair was conceived in 1929 by Marcel Breuer, based on the first cantilevered steel tube frame designed by Mart Stam, the "model S32."
The Cesca chair enjoyed great success starting in the 1960s with the "Gavina" brand, and continued with Knoll, which also developed the upholstered version.
The name Cesca was given by Gavina in honor of the Hungarian master's daughter, Francesca.

Cesca chair, with upholstered backrest and frame, also with armrests, designed by Marcel Breuer, with a chromed steel tube frame, a beechwood frame padded with polyurethane and upholstered in Linosa fabric (click colors), velvet (click colors), Alcantara-style microfiber (click colors), "Giorgia" leather (click colors), or "Rondò" leather (click colors). Other upholstery options are available upon request, and can also be supplied by the customer.
