ROOM DIVIDERS

Folding screen "Brick Screen" - Eileen Gray

THE PROJECT
Designed by Eileen Gray in 1922, the "Brick Screen" is far more than a simple screen or room divider—it is a true work of interior architectural sculpture. Built on a folding steel frame, it combines brass hardware elements with lacquered wooden panels. Its unique structure breaks the static nature of interior spaces through a dynamic system of adjustable lacquered panels. Each section can be moved to modulate light, shadow, and privacy, creating an extraordinary three-dimensional interplay of curves and folds.

OFFER DESCRIPTION
This iconic screen by Eileen Gray is faithfully reproduced in the spirit of the original design through an artisan version crafted by finest Tuscan artisans, with meticulous attention to detail. It features forty-four panels: thirty-six are larger in size, featuring a inset panel detail on the center of one side. The remaining eight panels are smaller and smooth on both sides; positioned at the outer lateral ends, they can rotate around their vertical axis to create additional movement in a piece that resembles a sculpture far more than a simple piece of furniture.

The "Brick Screen" designed by Eileen Gray can be ordered in two versions: white lacquer or black lacquer. Apart from the color of the panels, the two variants are identical in every other respect, starting with the brass details.
