Barcelona Chair is a minimalist icon of the International Movement heir to the Bauhaus: "less is more" was in fact the motto of Mies Van Der Rohe who, together with Lilly Reich, presented the Barcelona Chair at the Universal Exhibition in Barcelona in 1929 for the German pavilion, designed by himself.

The Barcelona armchair and stool, designed by Mies Van Der Rohe, have a mirror chromed flat drawn structure, polyurethane padding and leather (or fabric) covering made up of 40 squares for the armchair and 16 for the pouf, cut and hand-sewn with button quilting.
The cushions rest on suspensions made up of 17 thick cowhide leather straps (rump) in the same color or compatible with the color of the upholstery: when the color match is not satisfactory, the external parts of the straps are covered with the same leather as the upholstery .
The upholstery can be in "Anilina Dani" (click colours),"Florida"(click colours), "Nabuk" (click colours), "Giorgia" (click colours), "Rondò" (click colours) leather and Velvet fabric (click colours).
